Elections, Rotary, Birthday

The past weekend has been a bit of a ride. There was a rotary orientation weekend in Strausberg over the weekend, and I was without internet. We talked about a lot of things like rules, etc. Also on Sunday there was the Bundestagswahl, or elections. Angela Merkel and the CDU, or Christian Democratic Union, secured her fourth term and the largest percentage of the vote. In a surprising upset, the AfD, or Alterantiv für Deutschland, won thirteen percent. This is important as it is the first time since 1945 a far right party has been in parliament in Germany.

Today is my birthday and I had a bunch of fun. Ate like 10 muffins with some friends and I am going to a burger joint. Can’t wait to go out this weekend or next and celebrate with friends.
