Looking back, the past week

I haven’t done as much over the past few days as I did my first two. One day I went for a long walk before I met with other exchange students. I took a train to down town where I walked around the Reichstag and down one of the main roads in Berlin, the Unter den Linden. One of the monuments I crossed was an old Soviet victory memorial. It had guns and tanks in front of the stone columns.

After a little further walking I came to the Siegessäule. Its 60 meters tall and has a pretty great view, especially looking down the Unter den Linden towards the Brandenburg gate. The top is an angel and there are mosaics of German victories. It was a bit of a workout climbing it but the view was worth it.
